August 26, 2014 Monthly Project

We are gong to begin a Tinker Bell series of layouts using the Disney Tinker Bell cartridge.  As with many of the Disney images when making the smaller size images the facial features -- particularly eyes and mouth become problematic so I will try to keep them as large as possible yet still creating a pleasing layout.  I would love it if Cricut and Disney would agree to make new cartridges or new digital content for some of the recent movies -- like Frozen, Planes, etc.  I'll keep hoping.  Stay tuned for the layout design later this month.  Stay well and look forward to seeing you in class or at a crop or crafty shopping.

Update: Today is August 10th and I am posting the layout.  We will be adding some rhinestone or pearl flourishes plus glitter, glitter glue, wink of stella brush glitter pens to enhance our layout.  The photo mats are from the Bo Bunny Enchanted Garden Collection.  Perfect.  This layout actually combines vintage with glitz -- something I have never done before but will try to incorporate as I work through the Tinker Bell cartridge and respective layouts.  Hope everyone is well.  Just an aside, have you ever tried to fit your images to a pattern background and its close but not quite there -- well that's what happened yesterday at a Cricut crop.  I spent the day struggling with the layout background.  In the end I am sure I will pick new pattern background.  There were so many Disney characters/images I wanted to create but couldn't disengage from my pattern paper dilemma.  Today is a new day and off to create something new and different.  Stamp Club is also today so I know I will be inspired by all the lovely creations from the Stamp Club members.  As always, stay well and enjoy this gorgeous weather.

This is the second and final Aladdin layout and concludes using the Cricut cartridge Dreams Come True -- at least for now.  As you can see there is some inking, a mix of pattern, glitter, and some bling.  I hope everyone is having a super summer and would love if you can join me for this fun class.
